Thank you, Santa Barbara! We just discovered we’re a finalist in The Independent’s popular Best of Santa Barbara annual contest. Your votes launched us as one of the most romantic bed and breakfasts in Santa Barbara. That’s really saying something in a city that we all know exudes romance.
It’s not like us to boast, but getting this honor during such a challenging time is really appreciated. During the past few months, our staff has been working really hard to make sure our guests’ getaway experiences are flawless – despite all the craziness that’s surrounding travel these days.
From greeting guests with a smile – even though we’re wearing masks! – to personally delivering a fresh, hot, made-to-order breakfast to each room, the whole team has been playing a critical role resulting in us being named a finalist. (And we hope you’ll also lend support by voting to make us the winner of this honor).
Of course, it helps that our Spanish-style inn is nestled in the city’s charming, quiet West Beach neighborhood. We’re within easy walking-distance of the beach, the harbor, Stearns Wharf, the Funk Zone and the ever-popular State Street night scene. But we think it’s our on-site amenities that really earned us this recognition.
Our casitas, with their private entrances tucked behind bougainvillea trellises and individual patios, are perfect for couples who want to stretch out in private after a day exploring Santa Barbara’s beauty. The casitas, and select rooms in the main building, have in-room tiled fireplaces which light up the room with a soft glow. The firelit heat is the perfect antidote to the area’s cool evenings. Couples who come to us for a getaway are invited to leave behind the hustle and bustle and just relax and spend time with the love of their lives.
