Santa Barbara Sailing Center's
Resort Course
For those seeking an introduction
to the basic principles of sailing, without the "pressures"
of exams and A.S.A. certification, we offer the Resort Course.
This eight hour (1 eight hour day or 2 four hour days) course
is taught on stable (not capsizing) Victory 21' and J-24' sailboats
and students will experience hands on instruction with zero
classroom time. This exciting program is all about being on
the water and having fun! Curriculum includes nautical terminology,
rules of the road, sail trim and shape, reefing, crew teamwork
and responsibilities, docking under sail, safety procedures,
points of sail, tacking/jibing, knots and crew overboard rescue
techniques.

Cancellation Policy:
By submitting your 100% non-refundable deposit, you recognize
The Sailing School’s Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of any
sailing program scheduled with The Santa Barbara Sailing Center
results in 100% of class tuition forfeiture (your deposit).
Change of Date Policy:
A change of date fee requires a $50 charge per person for all
sailing classes.
A change of date request must be made no less than 30 calendar
days prior to your scheduled program, or you will forfeit your
deposit.

Cancellation Policy: Sailing may
be cancelled due to inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
